Change in Focus

So this month Chris and I decided to take a different approach to the babymaking. We decided not to think about it and focus on other things going on. Figured that would take some of the stress off of me too! So here are the highlights of the month that we have been working on!

We close on our first home tomorrow night. So tomorrow is a very busy day for us with walk through in the morning, closing at night, and then let the painting festivities begin. We are all set to move the furniture on Saturday. We are very excited and can't wait for this weekend to be over so that we can begin to be settled in our home.

Chris and my jobs have both been going very well this month. We have been keeping busy working, working, working and then packing, packing, packing when we get home. Chris has done a great job of packing a lot of things. He has definately lead the packing charge in our house.

Hopefully after we get into the house and get settled we will have happy news to share about Tiny Trudden. Until then, look for photos on our website from the move! http://truddenfamily.smugmug.com/ Address coming soon!

Month 4 - No Baby

Hello everyone! Well no baby this month. I had some high hopes, but nothing. We are trying not to let it get to us at this point. It's still early and my stress level has been high.

On a happier note, we will be settling on our house now on December 11th. We are very much looking forward to moving, painting, and beginning to make it our home.

Check out the photos at our family photo sight. http://truddenfamily.smugmug.com/House-Pictures/New-House-Eldersburg/

New House

Well, we may not be expecting a baby but we are moving one step closer to home ownership. We put in an offer on a house on Friday. They countered our offer and signed off so all we have to do it decide if we want to accept the counter or counter back.

Only time will tell. If everything goes as planned we will be moving the week of Thanksgiving. We may still be able to host Thanksgiving dinner....just will be hosting on the floor amist boxes I guess. =)

All so excited to think about!

Month 3 - ARG!

Well this month pregnancy didn't quite work out. ARG. Now I'm starting to get frustrated but I'm feeling like the more I think about it is jinxing it. I got really excited this morning when I realized that I was 4 days past day 28. I'm still refusing to take a test until Day 35. Then I get the disappointment this morning. Oh well. Maybe next month. =)

On other news Chris and I are close to being under contract on a townhouse in Eldersburg,MD. We are very excited about this new house and hopefully it will work out. Still trying not to get my hopes up on it though. You never seem to know what will happen. If all goes well we will move in at the end of November/early Dec. We were hoping to be in a new home for Thanksgiving which we are hosting with our new China this year =) But now it looks like we should be in by Christmas.

Maybe on November 10th I'll have news on both fronts. Stay Tuned!

Month 2 = Fail

Well it's been two months now and no pregnancy. I'm being realistic that with my trip to Seattle we got a late start this month. Maybe the third time will be the charm. =) Next post will be October 9th. Wouldn't it be great if we were pregnant on our anniversary 10/18? It's hard to believe it has been almost a year since our wedding.

Month 1 = Failure

Well.....my dear friend Flo arrived this morning. Oh well! I'm not going to let it discourage me too much. This month we had some days where I was gone at my parents because of gymnastics camp and it seems that hindered our progress and it could have also been due to my biopsy that I had done two weeks prior. My body may just not have been ready after that.

Either way, there is always next month. Hopefully my trip to Seattle will not impact things but only time will tell on that one. =) Planning wise it's just as well. Maybe this will make our first baby more of a summer baby. No sick days needed. =) That would make us happy too. Plus no long term sub and sub plans neeeded.....let me tell you, how much I truly despise sub plans.

Anywho stay tuned for more details in about 35 days. =)

Officially 4 Days Late!

Things are looking positive! Based on a 28 day cycle I'm 4 days late.

We took our first test on Sunday and another one this morning because I'm impatient and they were both negative, but as I learned from my Mother she had trouble with the rapid pregnancy tests and getting a positive result.

We are going to take another test this Sunday/Monday. If we still have a negative on the test on Monday and no flo, I'm going to call the doctor to request a blood test. I would like to know something before I fly out to Seattle on Wednesday.

It stinks how most pregnancy symptoms are the same as PMS. Something definately different it up down there this month. I've been having an awful lot of abdominal pain so either we are pregnant or I'm in for a rip roaring bad 7 days of flo! I'm hoping for the pregnant option! =)

Stay Tuned.

Off to the Races

Well it's Official!

We are now officially trying to get pregnant! Chris and I are very excited. We got a late start this month so we may have missed our window of opportunity but I'm remaining hopeful! We should know something in about 2 weeks! It's just all so exciting!

A New Adventure Begins

So if you are reading this you are one of the elite few who gained access to this blog pre-baby. What's that? Pre-Baby? Yep you heard right Chris and I are going to begin to try to have a family of our own! While we are realistic that it could take a while, we are hopeful that it will happen sometime this summer or early fall for a spring or summer baby. I can't wait to be pregnant and have definately had babies on the brain in recent weeks. I got the idea to blog about my pregnancy from my old roommate Carrie. It was so much fun to read about how her pregnancy was going that I decided to make one for myself. Chris told me I should name the blog "What to Expect When Carrie's Expanding" and you will notice that I named it Tiny Trudden. =) Hopefully I'll have something tiny growing in my belly soon! Check back towards the end of July for more details!
