7 Days of Taylor - Day 5

Yes I know I'm delayed in posting.  I was all set to post on Friday morning but was running late.  So I thought.....I'll publish when I get to school.  However, Blogger is now blocked at my school so no such luck.  Then Friday night and yesterday I was on the Eastern Shore and I didn't have access to the Internet on my laptop.  So here I am finally posting on Sunday.

Sitting

Taylor isn't a big fan of sitting.  She can sit but she is sooo active that she moves around so much that she falls over soon after sitting up.  Lately she has been getting better at sitting though.  She will sit there for a few minutes now before she reaches for something and falls over.

7 Days of Taylor - Day 4

Playing
Taylor loves to play!  She enjoys all her toys, and doesn't have an attachment to any toy in particular, which is good.  She will play with just about anything you give her and if she has nothing to play with her feet work just as well.  The newest game she likes to play when she has a blanket or burb cloth is peek-a-boo.  Sometimes she will even use her bib!  Sometimes I'll look away for a second and I'll hear this giggle and when I look back she has her bib up over her face and she is waiting for me to say "Where's Taylor?"  It's very cute!  Usually the first one takes the longest but after that she picks it up pretty quick! She has the hiccups in the video for some added cuteness!

Another new trick of hers is waving her arm when you are saying good bye.  She will wave good bye to Daddy in the morning and Ms. Karyn when we leave day care.  Mommy very rarely gets a good bye wave when I drop her off but I like to think that she is excited to be there with all her friends.  I get a great big squeal when I pick her up so it's all good!  =)  I'll have to get the waving on video sometime soon!

7 Days of Taylor - Day 3

Sounds

Taylor has always been a little sound machine (just like mom), but recently those sounds have been making more sense.  The words she can now say are hi, baba, dada, mama, and yesterday I swear she said home as we were walking up to the house.  Now these words are all used interchangeably and everything is baba, dada, and mama these days but it's fun to hear her little voice.

She has also begun to mimic adults more.  When I pick her up from day care we have some singing back and forth where I'll hum and she will repeat.  It's very fun!  She also loves to squeal when someone she loves comes near!

Most days she is a happy child and will giggle a lot at Mommy and Daddy being silly!

Video of her making some of her newest noises.

I have another video of her giggling on my phone but I can't find my cord to connect it to my computer so that video will have to wait until a later day.

P.S. Sorry this post was delayed!  I went on a rampage of organizing and packing up her clothes last night!  It's amazing just how many clothes don't fit her already.

7 Days of Taylor - Day 2

Mobility
Taylor is getting more mobile every day!  She has efficiently learned how to roll.  It has become her main mode of transportation.  She has been doing arm strengthening exercises (push ups) and loves to push up.  She is still working on getting the feet in on the action.  She mostly just kicks her legs around.  Taylor has learned how to lift her head up while lying on her back and will actually try to sit up.  She isn't quite strong enough but she tries hard.  She also loves to jump when we assist her with standing. Just last night she started doing some rocking but only while propped up on her hands.  Here is a video of her mastering the fine art of getting to all of her toys to play.  You will notice about half way through she moves some of her toys out of the way so she can get to her snail.  =)

This evening she pushed up to her knees!  Only a matter of time now!  Looks like we will be baby-proofing soon!!

7 Days of Taylor - Day 1

So this post is long overdue.  I have to apologize for the lack of posts recently,  our lives have been very busy and I have not been good about taking and posting photos of Taylor. To make up for it, I'm doing 7 days of Taylor and each evening there will be a new post!  So make sure you check back every day this week!  =)

Basic Stats:
As of her 6 month check up at the end of February she is growing well.  She was 15 lb 14 oz and 27 1/4 inches long!  She is in the 50% for weight and the 90% for height!

For her 7 month birthday pictures I put her in the cutest St. Patty's Day dress!  All the kids loved it when she wore it to daycare too!  She of course loves to ham it up for the camera and the 7 month sign only lasted for the one shot!  She promptly grabbed it and ate it in many of the shots that followed.
