Splish Splash

Happy Memorial Day everyone!!  This weekend has been pretty uneventful.  Friday night and Saturday were pretty rough around here since Taylor is cutting MANY teeth and has my cold and a VERY runny nose.  =(  Today we took an early morning trip to Babies R Us to get another gate for our little mobile munchkin and came back with a cute pink pool since the heat index for today is 100 degrees.  VERY HOT!  So we got on our sunscreen and our bathing suit and hit the pool out back.  You can see she had a great time!  =)  I think my $5 investment will more than pay off this summer.

3 Wheeling!

For Christmas, Grandma Trudden bought Taylor a Stride to Ride Dino.  Now that Taylor is becoming more sure of herself on her feet we put it together and introduced her to it this evening.  She loves it!  She was laughing, squealing, and having a blast. Thanks Grandma!

Happy 9 Months!

Wow!  How is it possible that my little girl is 9 months old today?!?

New this Month

Taylor has learned to crawl completely without using her tummy at all!  She is quite the quick crawler too!  She has also learned how to pull herself up to a stand on anything and everything.  Just this week she is starting to take small steps when she is standing.  She also loves to let go and fall on her bottom.  This scares Mommy to no end!  Bath time has been getting more and more fun!  Taylor loves exploring the bathtub and now that she is an accomplished crawler.....why wouldn't she want to crawl around the bathtub full of water too?  She is eating all stage 2 solid food and we are starting to add in stage 3 and some meats.  Her new favorite food this week is Apple Strawberry puffs!  She is very good at picking them up and eating them.  She is also starting to get some teeth which has caused us to have some very fussy evenings/mornings lately.  Hopefully they will break through soon!

We have our 9 Month Well visit next Monday so I'll update then on her measurements!  I'm pretty sure she will be in the neighborhood of 18 pounds and around 30 inches tall.  But we shall see!

Picking up some Puffs

Yummy!

Nine Months OLD!

Take that 8 Months!  I'm 9 now!!

Smiling at the fact that she is 9 months old!

Strawberries Anyone?

Last spring my dear friend Kim brought over some strawberry plants and helped me to clean my garden and plant them.  Tonight I picked the first batch that were ripe before the bunnies got them.  OMG!  They were so delicious.  I'm still salivating over them and can't wait for lunch tomorrow!  Taylor loved having fresh berries too!  I think Chris and I will be taking all the other plants out and just making it a strawberry garden for the future!  =)

New Toy

No need to buy expensive toys, a puffs container provides hours of new-found enjoyment to a baby.  Boy have I been wasting money.  =)  If you watch carefully, about 1/2 way through you will see her flexibility and split.  Never can be too early to start working on that flexibility.  Oh and she did learn how to pull herself to a stand yesterday.  I was too nervous while she was doing it to video it.  As she gets better at it I'll get it on video.

8 Month Photos

So I know these are a little delayed but Easter and Taylor being a bit uncooperative impaired this getting accomplished.  You will see she is getting a bit precocious and is into everything these days.  With her new-found mobility she is quickly climbing and moving all around.  I was lucky to get the shots I got.  These photos should give you a glimpse into any task with Taylor.

Excited to see the camera

Mmmm that doll looks good!  Although the hair doesn't taste nearly as good as Mommy's.

What I can't touch the sign or the toys for my picture?

See Mommy, I told you I would get my way!

Oooo look at this stuff!

Climbing to get a hanger.

This hanger is good!!!

The past two weeks have been very busy for Taylor.  She is now crawling on her hands and knees about 90% of the time and is getting really good at crawling over small objects like legs and larger toys.  She is also starting to become more interested in pulling up.  She is really good at pulling up to her knees but has trouble getting up much higher than that.

Now the real fun begins!
