Storyville - BCPL

Gosh!  Why haven't we gone here sooner!  I heard about Storyville last year and now I really wish I had of checked it out sooner.  I was concerned because of its location on the west side of Baltimore but once we arrived and I soon found out that Storyville was a hidden jem!  Check out the photos from our visit.  If you live in the Howard/Carroll/Baltimore/Anne Arundle area it's well worth the trip with your toddler.  Great summer day trip!  Best Part, It's FREE!

Not quite sure what to make of this place.

Peek a BOO!

I'm riding a GRIZZLY BEAR!! =)

I really liked the Tree House!

Easter Preview

Last weekend the parents at the gym had an Easter Egg hunt with a thousand eggs!  Yes you heard right a THOUSAND Eggs!  It was insane!  The girls and other kids had a great time searching for eggs. My Mom even brought Taylor in for the festivities.  She immediately knew just what to do.  After her basket was full, we took turns taking eggs out and re-hiding them for her to find again.  I'm looking forward to our real egg hunt on Easter!

The day before Easter we decided to brave Easter Egg dying.  To help with the spills we dyed our eggs on the back deck.  Taylor had a great time, but was dying her fingers more than dying eggs.  She enjoyed picking the eggs up out of the dye and putting them in different colors.  So our eggs are pretty colorful.  When we were all done and it was time to clean up Taylor was less than thrilled.  She is in the "I want to do things my way stage."  Commonly referred to as the "No" stage.  LOL!  She did her fair share of crying, and other unpleasantness.  Her lovely pink outdoor ball cured her though, don't worry!

Not quite sure what to make of the girls at the gym.

Adding eggs to my basket!

I'm liking this egg hunt stuff!

Me and Nana after the egg hunt!

Dying Easter Eggs with Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma!

This Little Piggie!

Today was the first day we attempted to put Taylor's hair up!  Oh how cute it turned out.  Over the past week I have been salivating over the Princess Piggies Blog......I seriously can't wait until T has long enough hair to do some of these creations.  I even practiced some this week on my own hair and a gymnasts hair.  =)

It started out a dreary overcast day.  The perfect one for a trip to my favorite place in the whole wide world.....The Container Store.  I really wish they had one in Columbia.....then when I get there I realize it is probably a good thing that they don't.  Makes my trip there, that much more special.

When we got home the sun came out and it turned into a beautiful afternoon.  So T and I spent some time outside running around while Chris cut the grass.  She really enjoyed her pigtails.  I think you will agree that they are absolutely adorable!

My attempt at a Waterfall Braid!

Not a big fan of how this side turned out, but ended up just pulling it back into a pony.

I also did a 5 strand braid on Baylee at the gym which turned out really cool!  I'll have to see if she can send me the photo of that.  =)

Lil' Cowgirl

Taylor's Godmommy Kelly bought her just the cutest Cowgirl boots for Xmas!  She loves them and puts them on in the evenings even if she didn't wear them during the day.  Here are some photos of her from today with her "boots" on.

Cute as can be don't you think?!?

Such a Big Girl!

Taylor is turning into quite the little lady. Today I dressed her one of the cutest outfits we got from Nana.  When we got to daycare Jared said to Ms. Karyn, "Look how beautiful her dress is!  Taylor looks so pretty!"  Gosh, my heart just melted right there.  She did look beautiful but I'm biased.

Her hair is really starting to come in FINALLY!  We are getting closer to our first haircut at this point.  This morning it was a little wild even after a good combing.  I know I've said it before but she loves to put a bow in her hair every morning!  It's too cute.  Here are some photos from this morning.  She loved showing off in front of the camera.

What?  You want to take my photo?

Ok.....but can I still watch Sesame Street while you do it?
(Yes! She LOVES Sesame Street!)

Getting ready to go on a ride!!

Mid-Clap!

Ok, I'm ready to go!  Time to put on my shoes!

I'm working on a video of all of her words she can say!  She has so many now that it's getting hard to keep track of them all!  =) She is also getting really good at singing her ABC's.   She just loves to talk and sing!

18 Month Checkup!

Taylor had her 18 Month Checkup today at the Doctors.  She was almost 23 lbs and 33 inches long.  Still low % for weight but 95% for height.  She also had to get 3 shots today.  The first two shots went great.  She didn't even cry at all.  Now the third shot.....that was a different story.

While we were waiting to see the Dr. Taylor enjoyed running around the exam room.  She loved seeing Dr. L too!  There were high fives, laughing, giggling, etc.   Dr. L loved how vocal Taylor was during the appointment.  Her little personality really shined!  =)

No pictures today.  My personal laptop is having some repairs done.  If you have a Mac, buy Apple Care.....it pays for itself in your first trip! When I get my laptop back, I will post some more pictures!  =)

SNOW!!

Two weekends ago we got an inch of snow and then some ice cover on top.....but it didn't stop us from putting T in her snow gear and taking her out to explore in the backyard.  Here are some pics from our time.

I like these snowpants!

All Ready to Go!

It makes a crunchy sound when I walk.  =)

Winter Break Playdate

Over Winter Break Taylor and I visited one of my friends from Grad Class and her daughter.  It's hard to believe that because of their birthdays they could enter Kindergarten together.  They had a good time playing together.  Taylor spent more time playing with E's toys then but when she realized they could push each other in the baby stroller it was all over.  =)  It was cute to watch them push each other around.  When we were leaving I asked Taylor if she wanted to give E a hug and they gave each other a huge hug.  It was so cute.  =)  We can't wait to visit and play with E again now that she is a big sister!  =)

Why aren't you pushing me?

This is better.

Ok now I'll push you!

I'm a Big Girl Now!

It truly amazing how fast Taylor has grown up!  Since turning 1, she has been doing more and more things like a big girl.  She tries harder and harder each day to be just like Mommy and Daddy.  Here are just a few examples!  =)

Driving a Car!

Being a Redskins Fan and cheering them to a loss, each and every week. ;)

I have learned how to take off some of my clothes.

I can wear dresses!

Ring Ring!  Hello!!

Hmmmm......what shall I read?

A little light reading.  (Excuse the mess in the background)
